A top-down, high-angle view of a completed Hasegawa 1/24 scale Volkswagen Type 2 delivery van model. The model features a glossy, custom two-tone paint job with deep candy purple on the lower half and a sleek gloss black on the top half and front V-shaped fascia. The vehicle has chrome bumpers and hubcaps. It rests diagonally on a grey, marbled display block against a solid black background.

A close-up, slightly high three-quarter front view of the 1/24 VW Type 2 model car. Warm studio lighting reflects off the perfectly smooth, glossy black roof and hood, highlighting the contrast with the metallic purple candy side panels. The model is presented on a textured marble-patterned base against a dark, moody background.

A head-on, straight-angle studio shot of the custom 1/24 scale VW Type 2 delivery van model. The prominent front chrome Volkswagen emblem is centered on the black V-panel, contrasted by the candy purple lower front panels. The windshield features fine wiper details and vertical interior window blinds. A custom miniature Australian New South Wales license plate reading "DEADL86" is mounted on the front chrome bumper.

A low, eye-level front perspective of the finished 1/24 scale Volkswagen Type 2 model van. The low angle emphasizes the classic rounded front end, chrome trim, and distinct headlights. The custom license plate "DEADL86" is clearly visible on the lower front bumper, sitting securely on a square marble display stand.

4 layers of Gaia Notes EX-Clear (~2h flash time). Some orange peel & decal bumps, but wet-sanding after a 2-3 week cure will level it all.

EXクリアを2時間間隔で4層コート。少しゆず肌や段差がありますが、2〜3週間乾燥後のサンディングで平滑化します。焦らず熟成。

Masked & sprayed the gloss black top. Cut tape to ~0.6mm to trace the front curve. Used less thinner to prevent bleed. Some orange peel, but clears will level it.

ツートン上部の黒を塗装。Rに沿わせるためテープを約0.6mmに細切り、滲み防止でシンナー少なめ。少しゆず肌ですが、後のクリアで平滑化するので問題なし。

VW Type 2 layout update! 🖤✨

Sprayed GX Ueno Black, wet sanded & compound polished to a mirror shine before the silver coat. Slow work, but foundation is key!

How do you prep your candy bases?

ウイノーブラック塗装後、中研ぎとコンパウンドで鏡面磨き！次のシルバー用の下地処理です。

Hasegawa VW Type 2 Delivery Van prep work! 🚐🛠️

Sanding down mold lines & laying primer to check for imperfections. Slow work, but prep is everything!

VWタイプ2の表面処理！
削り出しとサフチェック。地道ですが下地が一番大事ですね。
