Late afternoon scene on an overcast autumn day just after a substantial rain storm event in a soggy City alongside one of its many waterside public areas; the City is comprised largely of islands, after all; in the foreground, an old and dangerous dock has lost much of its loft supports due to erosion - the corner piling is halfway gone and the dock platform teeters over it; it is unsafe to go out there on that; the remaining wood pilings cast their reflections on the calm, but recently raging, waters of the tidal strait, as do the massive columns that supports a long pedestrian walking bridge that crosses the water in the background; off in the distance, the skylines of some neighboring islands are present beneath the heavy sky; everything is wet.

Evening scene overlooking the mouth of a river -- technically a fork in a tidal estuary -- in a effervescent City where a massive pedestrian bridge stands against a cloudy dusk sky with its yellow and red safety lights illuminated; the bridge takes visitors on one city park to another, with splendid views of nature and the City skyline from the island on the other side; the windy weather is making the water a bit rougher than usual as the high tide recedes, but not so choppy that it blocks the reflection of the bridge lights on the water; the tall columns of the bridge and the trees on the neighboring island park cast a silhouette against the sky in the distance.
