Peter Dempsey swept the GT America powered by AWS at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Memo Gidley came up 2.702 seconds short in Race 2. Ross Chouest edged out Scott Blind and Marc Muzzo to round out the podium behind the Risi Maserati and SKI Audi.

Marc Muzzo got ahead of Tony Davis, Scott Blind and Mirco Schultis en route to fourth.

Damir Hot edged out Craig Lumsden to win the GT4 class in twelfth overall. Sole Cup competitor David Lecko saw the chequered flag in P13 with the Ginetta GTP8.

Peter Dempsey went from last to first in Race 1 of GT America powered by AWS to grab victory at Indianapolis. The Risi Maserati driver beat the SKI Audi of Memo Gidley by 0.307 seconds. Ross Chouest came from eighth to round out the podium.

But the Risi Competizione car was disqualified afterwards due to an illegal rear wing.

This year's champion, Memo Gidley, inherits the pole position. The SKI Audi driver had set a best time of 1:24.895 in qualifying.

The Maserati MC20 GT2 is running in some kind of GT2+ specification with even more horsepower, something the rest of the SRO3 paddock doesn't seem too thrilled with. And Peter Dempsey ended up being fastest in qualifying at Indianapolis with a 1:24.201.

The No. 013 R. Ferri Ferrari of Marc Muzzo, No. 17 Archangel Aston Martin of Mike Johnson, No. 25 ACI Porsche of Damir Hot, No. 58 Random Vandals AMG of CJ Moses and No. 70 Mishumotors Callaway of Mirco Schultis have returned for the final round.

It will be a 16-car field in GT America powered by AWS at Indianapolis Motor Speedway after the usual withdrawal of the three Kellymoss Porsches.

The earlier announced Risi Maserati of Peter Dempsey being in SRO3 rather than GT2 turns out not to be an error.

Memo Gidley, who clinched the GT America powered by AWS championship yesterday even though he didn't start the race, won Race 2 at Barber Motorsports Park. Scott Blind in the Ruckus Porsche beat the HP-TECH Ferrari of Tony Davis for second place.

Memo Gidley was due to start from pole position, but he retired on the formation lap due to a broken driveshaft. The SKI Autosports driver still clinched the GT America powered by AWS championship, as Tony Davis failed to finish in the top two.

Joel Cortes earned his maiden GT America powered by AWS victory in Race 1 at Barber Motorsports Park with the RS1 Porsche. Ross Chouest fended off the Ruckus Porsche of Scott Blind to finish in second place with the Chouest Povoledo Corvette.
