In the wrong hands gas work can cause gas leaks, fires, explosions or carbon monoxide poisoning. If there’s a problem with your gas appliance, don’t try to fix it yourself. Always use a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer.

Landlords have legal duties to help keep their tenants gas safe, including arranging a gas safety check. Tenants should always ask to see the engineer's Gas Safe ID when they arrive at their home.
