Today's #BirdOfTheDay Alt. theme is #BirdyLongLegs!

I couldn't find a photo that had a bird with berries, so on to another favourite subject of mine: The #Grutto or #BlackTailedGodwit. The Netherland's #national bird!
Unfortunately they all went south again last month...

#BirdOfTheDay theme is #BirdsInAbstract.

Intentional camera movement #icm turns a Black-tailed Godwit into pure gesture. Wingbeat as brushstroke.

Abstract intentional camera movement photograph of a Black-tailed Godwit (Limosa limosa) in flight against a plain white background. The long, straight orange-based bill and warm cinnamon breeding plumage on the head and breast streak diagonally across the frame, blurred into soft painterly lines. Black and white barred wing and tail feathers trail behind in horizontal motion streaks. The bird's form is abstracted into gesture rather than sharp detail, with no visible background or habitat.
