King of Scars is unevenly lopsided. Nina’s storyline is compellingly complex for YA, and Isaak’s story is on par with the Grishaverse’s standard appeal, but Nikolai & Zoya (while charming) spend half the time in a bizarre, retconny setting that drags things down 2/5 Stars #Grisha
