Post 2/3 I remember that I had just turned 9 when my grandfather bought it for me on a visit to a small, local bookstore. Reading it moved me in a way I hadn't yet learned a book could, or that I even had words for at the time
When a child loses a beloved animal, adults can worry about finding the “right” words. A storybook can help, creating space for questions, memories, feelings, and silence. Sometimes reading together is a good place to start. 🐾📚
