🌱 I've been wanting to write this poem for a while.

life on gray rock

i spell it with an 'a' because
the edges are supposed to be softer here
and it's true
they can't get through
but i hate it
tiny little prison cell
where the bars are a one-sided veil
and my view is fine
while they can't tell
exactly what i'm seeing
and they'll never know
how i feel about it.
they are hungry
starving for energy
and i am a smorgasbord
for these sorts of entities
so i cut off their power supply at the source
they'll hit a bit harder for a while, of course
and i'll try to keep that veil down
but occasionally
whether out of force or just clarity
i will at some point react
and like the lure of blood
preceding an imminent shark attack
i almost never escape wound-free
but i consider it lucky
when i can get them out
and remain intact enough
to still recognize me.

Silence is the loudest weapon against a narcissist. It will drive them crazy not to get any response or an emotional reaction from you. Narcissists are energy vampires. They starve without conflict and die from a lack of attention. Ignore them like they don't exist and live. #GreyRock #NoContact
