silence

handing
a grieving heart
ample space to dream

before

unbearable
pain #goodbye

where
past #sins
drift quietly
into unknown
cosmic realities
yet to be explained

we're in need of justice
to sever a nefarious line

come one come all
out to city streets

The forty-fifth president
After being forced to say goodbye
Auditioned a spineless crew
Of posers with stolen valor
Sycophants and poltroons
To kiss his ring (and more)
As he became
The forty-seventh president

a man of valor
…
I kissed that spineless sycophant
that worthless abject poltroon
a chef's kiss waving goodbye.

I turned to the man of valor
my heart, my truth, my lover
his hand enclosed on mine.
