Tainted Love? Uh-huh… British new wave duo Soft Cell earned US #OneHitWonder honors in 1982 when their synth-pop reinterpretation of Gloria Jones’ “Tainted Love” spent 15 weeks on the US #Billboard #Top40, peaking at #8. #SoftCell #GloriaJones #OneHitWondered #MusicSky

Gloria Jones was the voice behind the original “Tainted Love,” & a pioneering soul singer/songwriter… but she was also Marc Bolan’s partner, & the mother of his son. Their love, and the tragedy that followed, became one of rock’s most heartbreaking chapters. #GloriaJones #OneHitWondered #MusicSky

Windstorm is the fourth studio album released by Gloria Jones in 1978.
