Cracking little entry-level dub comp. All the big hitters are present. Only £13 from Juno. You’re welcome.
Sometimes all I need is a Valium and some reggae.
Been pretty down today. Turns out that all I needed was a blast of heartland rock courtesy of John Cougar Mellencamp and his breakthrough USA album “American Fool.” That was £5 well spent.
Couple of gruelling shifts in work this week, but thoroughly enjoyable at the same time. Now unwinding with a vape, a glass of Pepsi Max, and some deep roots reggae courtesy of Tony Tuff. That should take me up to meds and bed at a rock ‘n’ roll 9pm. Tidy.
RIP Cheetah Chrome.
Even though I own a chunk of Roberta Flack records, I’m a sucker for a Best Of and couldn’t leave this there for two quid. Currently enjoying it with head full of Valium and pregabs. I’m as chilled as ten polar bears.
There’s a lot to “LOVE” in Dexys’ new album. Sweeping blue-eyed soul, lyricism rich in nostalgia, and Kevin Rowland’s voice is sounding stronger than ever. The man is a national treasure. “I'll Always Love You" is stunning; like a Scott Walker extract.
I’ve learnt more about Indigenous Americans from one Dead Pioneers record than I ever learnt from any cowboy and Indian movie.
