An ornate silver arch behind the idol. The idol is dressed in bright yellow silk cloth (with a gold embroidered border). The idol itself has a pleated skirt-like dress but the same cloth is folded and spread from under the idol, and comes down all the way to the floor (the idol is seated high above the ground) as though the cloth is flowing down from the idol. A thin long string of white flowers (with orange stems) around the idol but going all the way down to the floor in one long U shape.

That is comparable to Bhutan's entire annual economic output.

A Shiva temple that stood for about 150 years is gone. The Ganga took it in seconds while villagers in Malda watched from the bank. Sandbags were never going to hold.
