Hey everyone.

Please take some time to read this.

I’m so sorry.

Hello, dearest readers.

So, I know I promised an October 17 release for IMG_1697: The 1.0 Update. But, I'm afraid that simply won't be possible. Why? Because there's still so much to do and I just don't have the mental capacity or ability to finish it in a week.

Additionally, I just want to enjoy October, since Halloween is my favorite time of year.
I didn't really get to do that much last year because of IMG_1697's original build.

So, I have made the heavy decision to delay IMG_1697: The 1.0 Update until further notice.

Please know I do not make this decision lightly. As much as I want to take advantage of the Halloween season, I just don't have the mental fortitude to complete it in time.

Therefore, I will be slowing down and working on the update at my own pace.

It's not all bad though! My personal life is going well, and I'm actually pretty far along in this update. There's lots of things here that I'm really proud of, and I've hired an artist who's made some amazing new sprites! I'll be pausing development so I can focus on Novembird(!), but with any luck, it might still come out in 2026...

I’ll keep teasing this update and talking about it until its eventual release. Rest assured, this update WILL happen and it WILL be amazing. I truly cannot wait to share it with you!

But until then, I'll be going at my own pace. Again, I'm infinitely sorry for the last minute delay. I really wish I could release it in time for Halloween, but I also just want to enjoy the season. Thank you for understanding, and thank you endlessly for your support for this VN. IMG_1697 is truly special to me; I love this story so much, and I'm so happy that it has resonated with so many readers.

But until then, stay spooky, my ravens. Thank you again.

-RhettoeRaven

Been a while, but we'll be opening forms for sprite artists this Friday!

If you want to try out, we'll need several examples of character art (preferably in one kind of style, but multiple kinds of shading)!

A drawn depiction of a post from 'UraFoxa'. It reads, 'One of my reoccurring "bits" is about how "i hate my life and desperately want an escape." This is just a joke! I am so incredibly grateful to be alive and in the position that I am as an artist. It's truly a gift.'

I absolutely adore this month because of my love of horror movies and books. But what about spooky music??

I'm pretty good at making that myself!

*Tumbles out of the dryer*

Don't worry, I *did* finish the bedroom in a day! I just didn't post it.

Also, I may or may not have forgotten to do the pillows, but that gives me an excuse for a character interaction. Past me is so clever for setting this up.

Good job me.
