Early morning on a farm near Mount Fuji. In the foreground, chickens peck the ground along a curving path separating the farmhouse from cultivated fields. In the shadows by the woodpile, a female figure wearing an apron and a scarf on their head works at some unseen task; nearby, a tree is turning yellow, orange and red with the season. Beyond, low forested hills underline a snow-capped Mount Fuji; above, the few clouds crossing the blue sky are tinted yellow by the early morning light.
