Sept 14 – Contempt Alex was more than able to admit that a lot of Henry’s looks ‘did it for him,’ but the look of contempt Henry sent the reporter who had asked about the rumor they were expanding their family. Alex squeezed Henry’s hand as he turned to the reporter and said, with words dripping in disdain, “Not sure, why you’re looking at my husband’s stomach while you say that? Has there been a development in science that I’m not aware of that would allow me to knock up my very male husband?” Alex loved when Henry pulled out the snark, something he did more and more the longer they’d been married. While he knew it was probably going to cause someone to reprimand them, Alex couldn’t resist joining in. He pulled Henry away from the reporter by a hand and called over his shoulder, “If you’ll excuse us, I’m going to take my husband home and practice just in case that development actually comes.”

(b4 ya ask i got no clue what the big surprise is henry did not tell me either - no matter how much i tried lolz - but maybe this was b4 they signed the munchkin papers? idk)

Sept 13 – Surprise They don’t often get to really surprise each other, so when Henry can pull one off, like now he can’t help the thrill it sends through him. They spend so much of their lives practically in each other’s pockets, which is a very welcome change from the time when they didn’t get to see each other much at all, that the idea that one of them could surprise the other is kind of laughable really. Somehow Henry has pulled it off and now he gets to watch Alex discover all the little bits of this one. As they walk toward one of their favorite parks hand-in-hand, while David leads them, he can barely hold in the knowledge of what is to come, and the many things that will some day follow after it.

Sept 12 – Anger June can’t believe this is still happening, Alex has been living with Henry for going on a year and still their mother tries to pull him into things for her. Never mind that him and Henry have lives of their own and their own shit to take care of, but this one time he dares to say no, she hears Zahra complaining to their mother about him messing up their plans. June lets the anger she feels at it all flow through her and walks in to the oval office. “Y’all will leave Alex alone, he has given enough of his life for y’all. If you don’t I will write a story telling the world how many times you’ve used him and pushed him to do things for you with no regard for how it hurt him.” June doesn’t even bother listening to them attempt to stutter out responses as she turns on her heel and marches out. As she heads to the room still technically hers she pulls her phone from her pocket and sends a text to Henry. ‘Tell Alex it’s taken care of and if he hears anything more from them to let me know.’

Sept 11 – Disgust The look of disgust on the reporter’s face as Henry pulls back from kissing Alex is more than enough for him to endure whatever “yelling at” they’re going to get from the crown and their families. The dazed look on Alex’s face that replaces the hurt that was there moments ago is the cherry on the cake. “Baby, if you’re gonna keep laying one on me like that we just might give this douchenozzle heart failure if how constipated they look is anything to go off.” Henry chuckles, leave it to Alex to make the moment they’re going to get flack for even more likely to be not just looked over with his silly antics. As he leans in to kiss him again, he can’t find it in him to care though.
