Early evening scene during the twilight time on a street in a blessed City, facing towards yellow taxi cabs and other cars as they approach the intersection with a lively and historic Avenue; traffic seems a bit heavy for a relatively ordinary weeknight; at the corner are the entrances to the seventy-seventh street station for the number six train and a popular location of the bagel franchise "Pick A Bagel," as indicated by the large black and white sign above its storefront, which is aglow with activity, even at this late hour; for this specific part of the borough, they are a decent, solid bagel shop with a friendly vibe; the glow of the iconic green and white globes above the subway entrances, the lighted green billboard on a taxi cab, and the green traffic lights share nearly identical hues; this block (as are nearly all the others in this borough) is crowded with old, brick, mid-rise residential buildings which form the bbackground of our scene as the darkening evening sky fades toward a periwinkle-coloured gradient.
