@meersalt.bsky.socialWill have a bit of #FridayNightIsMusicNight before bed: let’s start with the wedding dance from #Andor S2E3 as we have reappraised this a genius; choon, ‘n’all: Empty Pledges by Yard Act next: superb. A band growing with every album. Drugs at Glasto! Under The Pressure! Woo!
@untypicalboro.bsky.socialNow listening: Stormzy - Heavy Is the Head. A brilliant album takes grime mainstream and lands a populist punch on the idiot Boris. #FridayNightIsMusicNight
@meersalt.bsky.socialSo normally #FridayNightIsMusicNight but Longlegs is on the actual telly, and is unmissable, so #FridayNightIsMovieNight tonight. Normal service will be yadda yadda yadda. In the mean time, have a pic from the other night which we are choosing to call “Not Bad for Suburban North Manchester”
@untypicalboro.bsky.social#Kraftwerk at @stockton_globe earlier this year. #RIPFlorian #FridayNightIsMusicNight
@untypicalboro.bsky.social#NowListening Tosca: torture, political intrigue, murder, betrayal... standard. #Opera #FridayNightIsMusicNight
@meersalt.bsky.socialBack to #FridayNightIsMusicNight! This week, we have gone to physical media: found a DVD/VHS player during recent decorating, so popped in the DVD of Rush Beyond the Lighted Stage, a rockumentary if you will, where we are reassured we are in good company being a fan…
@untypicalboro.bsky.socialAnyway, what are you all listening to? Me, Protection, the often over-looked difficult second album from Massive Attack. Decent stuff, lots of spillage from Blue Lines, very self-referential. Prefer the dub version. #FridayNightIsMusicNight
@stephenharkin.bsky.social#FridayNightIsMusicNight some music is just timeless ...
