We went looking for a place my husband remembered from long ago - and he had done a search to be sure it was still viable first - only to discover a brand new construction fast food joint where it has been forever! So frustrating!

@snippetsbyamy.bsky.socialAs a renter we have been in neighborhoods that sent us the newsletter & ones that didn’t. Either way we could only do what our lease permitted (some we got the amenities - pool etc. - others we didn’t) BUT knowing what was going on made us better neighbors!

@snippetsbyamy.bsky.socialSomeone told me the other day that since searches are now basically AI prompts, the ask must be very specific and if you want something current (not what the AI trained on a couple of years ago). That must be clearly in the prompt so the AI will actually go search for new info.

How about a two line acknowledgment? “Got your note, don’t have time now, I’ll get back to you.” as opposed to falling off the face of the planet?
