Well apparently I'm following up on this on actual #FreeCADFriday this time, unlike last week's post. Last week's custom typecase tray was _almost_ right!

* The cells weren't quite wide/tall enough; I had more of some characters than I realized […]

I printed a tool holder for my 3D printer. I originally made this ages ago in #SolidWorks. Now, I needed a modified version, so I recreated it in #FreeCAD. It's a fairly easy model. A piece of cake for FreeCAD.

The organizer holds various maintenance tools upright in custom slots, including blue flush cutters, black tweezers, a blue deburring tool, hex wrenches, a small magnifying glass, a green plastic scraper, a small flash light, and a group of white cotton swabs. The printer rests on a light-colored wooden desk.

It's #FreeCADFriday! FreeCAD 26.3 RC1 is out. Load your real projects in it, show us screenshots or WIP of what you build, and tell us if something that worked in 1.1 breaks. Keep backups, it's not for production yet.

I don't actually get to do a lot of FreeCAD on Fridays, so #FreeCADFriday isn't much my thing. But we have a hot foil embosser and a type set for it, and the type came jumbled in a few small ziplock bags without any clear organization, so it's a right […]

It's #FreeCADFriday! Skip the screenshot if you want, just reply with one thing: what FreeCAD tool or workbench have you used the most this week?

We'll go first: Part Design Defeaturing, it's been a lifesaver on STEP imports lately.

I've only finished the typical link pieces for my posable vacuum hose design, but figured what the hey, I'll publish what I have so far and add to #FreeCADFriday.

If it exists in your FreeCAD file, it counts for #FreeCADFriday.

Sketches, assemblies, FEM studies, TechDraw sheets, CAM toolpaths, scripts, experiments - share it, even if it’s incomplete. Then browse the hashtag and learn how others approach the same problems.
