September. Dramatic skies and calls to arms.. Passing trains, a squirrel immorally immortalised and a precious garden visitor.
Not sorry it’s over but Winter Is Coming !

An autumn sunset in vivid pink and violent yellow. Great clouds gather ahead like a blanket to smother. A railway truck : part of a whole train with each carriage filled with pine tree logs. Breathe in - you can almost smell the acrid tang of new wood in the cool morning air. A taxidermied red squirrel posed onto a log in a bar in Oslo . There is a picture of a fox dressed in hunting garb behind the squirrel but I don’t think he’s the murderer. A brown hawker (possibly) decided to spend a little time with me enjoying the sunshine on the terrace on a September day .

The curtain is the full middle third of the image’s height on the right, trailing away to about a quarter of the height on the left. Right side is quite bright, and the left darker. It looks quite cinematic. A very colourful image of a printed, woven linen wall hanging. It includes stylised fishing boats, abstract sea, shore and harbour, and possibly a marker buoy. I saw it An Tobar, a gallery in Tobermory, and enjoyed it hugely. This piece is from an exhibition titled Transit by Eve Campbell. The show “Reflecting maritime history, including Loch Fyne skiffs, Clyde puffers, and the waterways that connected local communities in a collection of bold, vibrant textiles and mixed media pieces”
