Members of our committee recently had a tour to inspect ‘work in progress’ at the Stables project. While there is still a lot of work to be done, it was great to see ‘first hand’ how the project is progressing, and the huge amount of restoration work which has been completed. Timeline for completion of the first phase is estimated to be summer 2027. > Thanks to Barbara Vechionne and Mark from Morrison Construction for facilitating our visit.Shows committee members and representatives of Morrison Construction and Glasgow City Council outside the heavily scaffolded unfinished stables complex.Shows committee members and representatives of Morrison Construction and Glasgow City Council in an unfinished stables building. Our work party were busy today in the herbaceous garden, removing dandelions, bramble, bind weed and a variety of other weeds. What a difference …

A flower bed with many weeds and dead plants before our Work Party do maintenance on it. A flower bed with the weeds taken away by the work party who have nearly finished clearing it. Some of the plants are hanging on into the Autumn. One of our work party volunteers working on a flower bed, removing weeds and tidying up. Still some work to do!
