Food safety records, done right. The Chef Hygiene home screen for a restaurant: the next job (fridge checks, 4 of 6 done), daily checks, kitchen setup, new manager, team, inspection, and fire and safety.

Temperatures in seconds. Typing the temperature of Fridge 1 (3.5 °C) on a number pad, with a button to say the temperature instead.

All 14 allergens, dish by dish. The allergen chart lists each dish with the allergens it contains, for example chicken tikka masala: milk, mustard and tree nuts. Staff read it when a customer asks.

Ready for your inspection. The app checks the last 4 weeks of records the way an inspector would and shows 12 of 12 ready: opening and closing checks, fridge and freezer checks, manager's sign-off, fixes, review, staff training and the allergen chart.

Not really.

A rinse may remove visible residue, but food particles and microbes can remain deep inside. Boiling for 5 minutes can reduce bacteria by more than 99.9%.

Rinse, dry, replace.
