A vertically composed surreal horror artwork shows a dark female figure emerging from behind layers of aged, torn floral wallpaper. Her face occupies the upper center, nearly swallowed by shadow, with only the soft contours of her eyes, nose, lips, and cheeks visible against the blackness. Long strands of dark hair spread outward into the surrounding surface like fine roots or cracks. Both hands reach toward the viewer through separate ruptures in the paper. The left hand is broad and open near the center-left, while the right hand pushes forward from a jagged opening at upper right. Below them, part of the woman’s torso and one bent leg appear through additional tears, making her seem trapped within the wall rather than simply standing behind it. The wallpaper is faded gray-beige and densely decorated with antique roses, small blossoms, curling stems, and dark green leaves. Several flowers merge directly into the torn edges, blurring the distinction between printed decoration and physical growth. Unsettling illustrated eyes are embedded among the floral patterns, particularly around the openings near the hands. Rough paper fibers, peeling layers, scratches, stains, fine speckles, and scattered golden flecks give the entire image the appearance of a damaged antique wall covering or weathered mixed-media collage.
