The weather isn't looking all that bad, & 1 or 2 things have sorted themselves out, so I'm going to take my little groundhopper to a game...

A 1st trip to Valley Road for #Flixton v Knowsley

Short notice, but #FellowFan is in place for anyone who wants to come for a chat

At Step 6, #AshtonAthletic host #DaisyHill in a GM Derby

4th placed #Flixton & #AshtonTown are at home

So too are #Uppermill, who have a brilliant opportunity for their 1st win v 2nd bottom Blackpool

#MaineRoad & #CheadleHeathNomads are both away

And speaking of #Flixton, I previously posted these photos on my old account, of the Gilgryst Cup Final programme from 1981, where my dad played for the Rochdale based side Milton, against Grasmere Rovers, who of course are now #CheadleTown

A good read from @andymitten.bsky.social

A good read...

If I can get to a game on Saturday, I'm intending to get to #Flixton for the first time, but if not then, I'll get there in the very near future

In the NWC Edward Case Cup, #Flixton beat Darwen 5-3, but #AshtonTown lost 4-3 on pens after a 1-1 draw with Fulwood Amateurs in 90 mins

In the @nwcfl.bsky.social Edward Case Cup, #Flixton host Darwen, & #AshtonTown go to Fulwood - both are 7:45pm KOs

At Step 6, #CheadleHeathNomads are at home as they look to move away from the South relegation zone

The same applies for a few teams in the tight North table, where #AshtonTown, #Flixton, & #MaineRoad are at home, & #DaisyHill, #AshtonAthletic, & #Uppermill are away

And the NWC Macron Cup results are as follows...

#AbbeyHey 2-5 @athertonlrfc.bsky.social

#CheadleHeathNomads 0-4 #RamsbottomUnited

#DaisyHill 1-2 Barnton

#Droylsden_ 0-2 @chaddertonfc.bsky.social

#Flixton 4-0 #Uppermill

Halewood Apollo 3-0 #AshtonTown

It's also Round 1 of the NWC Macron Cup, with all of our Step 5 & 6 sides in action, full fixtures as follows (all 3pm KOs)

#AbbeyHey v @athertonlrfc.bsky.social

#CheadleHeathNomads v #RamsbottomUnited

#DaisyHill v Barnton

#Droylsden v @chaddertonfc.bsky.social

#Flixton v #Uppermill

At Step 6, #Flixton are the only of our sides to take 3 points, & they remain 3rd, 6 points off the top with a game in hand

#CheadleHeathNomads were the only other side to avoid defeat, as they played out their 2nd consecutive 3-3 draw

At Step 6, #Flixton in 3rd go to Garstang, & #DaisyHill could move into the playoffs as they host Colne, & #AshtonTown are at home too

Across both leagues, #MaineRoad, #AshtonAthletic, #Uppermill, & #CheadleHeathNomads need to start moving away from the relegation zone

Tonight's results...

It's 2 wins from 2 for our sides, as @altrinchamfc.bsky.social get an impressive win against 10 man Hartlepool, & #Flixton comfortably dispatch Woolton

Alty are up to 12th in the NL, & Flixton are 3rd by my reckoning

A couple of games tonight...

@altrinchamfc.bsky.social host Hartlepool at Step 1, & #Flixton go to Woolton at Step 6

Alty are 16th, & have won 3 of their last 4, but last time out was a chastening defeat

Flixton meanwhile are unbeaten in 7 league games, & sit just in the playoffs

In the NWC, #Droylsden beat #RamsbottomUnited, & @prestwichheysfc.bsky.social beat South Liverpool

Defeats for @chaddertonfc.bsky.social & @wdcfc.bsky.social in the other Step 5 games

#Flixton beat #AshtonAthletic, & #DaisyHill won too

#MaineRoad & #CheadleHeathNomads drew

There are GM Derbies between #RamsbottomUnited & #Droylsden at Step 5, & #AshtonAthletic & #Flixton at Step 6

It's 3rd v 1st in the Midland Prem, as @wdcfc.bsky.social host Winsford

#CheadleHeathNomads have a tough game but will hope to move out of the relegation zone

A win for @wdcfc.bsky.social after a very late comeback, but #WythenshaweTown are beaten

#AshtonTown beat #Uppermill, & they too are still without a win

Wins too for #Flixton & #MaineRoad, but defeats for #AshtonAthletic, #DaisyHill, & #CheadleHeathNomads
