I googled Mason's original team, and it came up "Oakland A's" which gave me a kick.
I sincerely think John Fisher #FJF is trying to drive up the price of his team before he sells. Maybe a well-stocked farm system will add some value. I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up in Sacto.

According to Google, the Oakland A's had him and traded him to San Diego for three minor league prospects. And I'm sure if those prospects pan out, the #FJF A's will trade them for even more prospects. Anything to hold onto the salary basement.
