Keep seeing posts of people filing/grinding teeth off chainrings, to use as a guard ring. It's a kind of a cool #DIY #fettling #recycling thing that could be a solution to my graveyard of chainrings. However, it's not something I've ever needed in my life. What do people think? Is it just a fad?
