When runesmiths take up arms, they sometimes take up weapons designed for remote detonation, pattern-flight tracing, or otherwise shooting the shit out of their foes. They can conduct the energy of the runes they invoke for a magical impact!

Runesmithing is an artform, but some runesmiths take it a notch further with rather explosive artistry. From repurposing invoked runes as areas of fire, covertly tracing runes, to explosively invoking damaging runes, they have a lot to work with!

Any sufficiently analysed magic is indistinguishable from science - the Inventor gets up in the casters' businesses.

Its not too uncommon for engineers and inventors to dabble in alchemy, as they usually use what they concoct for their machines. Some take it a step further by incorporating alchemical adjustments or even grafts into their innovations!
