Yesterday, 9th September, was FASD Day 💙🧠💙 As someone with lived experience and a FASD Advocate, I know FASD can be challenging, but I try to live with it and not let it defeat me. I’ll keep using my voice to raise awareness. 💙 #FASD #FASDDay

Yesterday, 9th September, was FASD Day 💙🧠💙 FASD Day is an important day to raise awareness and understanding of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and to help people understand that FASD is a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition. As someone with lived experience of FASD and as a FASD Advocate, I believe it is so important to speak up, challenge stigma and misunderstanding, support individuals and families, and help create a more inclusive world. 💙 And also, as someone with lived experience, FASD can be challenging, but I try to do as much as I can to live with my FASD by trying not to let it defeat me. FASD can affect people in many different ways, and every person with FASD is unique. We need understanding, support and acceptance — not judgement. I will continue using my voice and my lived experience to raise awareness, educate others and help create brighter futures for people with FASD. 🌟💙 FASD matters. Lived experience matters.
