This morning I have hung out the washing, got the bus to my flu jab venue, walked by the river, bought a newspaper, spoken with someone I did IT courses with over 20 years ago, and got the bus home. Now sitting with a cup of coffee and it’s only 10.52. #exhausted

A photograph of a groundhog sitting upright on the step of our wooden back deck (it’s just above the ground; it’s really nice, and animals come sit on it all the time), back to the viewer, with ears back against their head, and their hips and knees slightly tilted, so one knee is higher than the other (like a person sitting cross-legged, one knee tilted up). The groundhog’s tail is curled to the left. There are two levels on the grey wooden deck; the groundhog is sitting on the lower level, right at the edge, with their tail curved around their left foot. Beyond them is a mown lawn. There are two speech bubbles coming from the groundhog; the top one says “FUUU-UUUUUUUUUUUUUU… *gasp*”, and the lower one, to the right, says “…UUUCK.”. We have groundhogs: we call one of their burrows “groundhog hill”, but we know of at least two (the other is “Mt. Dave”, made from clearing the foundation for my studio). This groundhog climbed up on the deck, and sat there for at least 15 minutes, looking from side to side occasionally. It looked like a passenger waiting for a train that never came. It’s been such a week, & I still have to get my teeth drilled on Monday. *sigh* 🫩💜

A marker, ink, and paint pen cartoon of my OC, the basket creature (a sentient Victorian toy, that is a little tan blob of stressed out fluff with pointy ears and a round white puff of a tail), with their back to the viewer, looking over their left shoulder, mouth open, pink tongue hanging out, holding a long, pink, narrow pennant flag upside down in their left hand. The flag folds back and forth four times to the ground, and “MAAAAAAAAAAAAAA” is written in fluorescent green, with the As going all the way along to the pointed end. Basket Creature’s giant round eyes have green irises and black pupils, and they are staring at the viewer, their ears drooping, looking freaked out. Over their head is written “ZERO CHILL” in large pink letters that match the pennant, curved over BC’s head. Some days you just need to scream!
