An #Otwituary for actor #EveMarieSaint

The house lights go up; just me
at movie’s end…and a woman
on her own, three rows back,
svelte and luminous, hair like
threads of platinum. She lights
a cigarette, says Great movie,
and time stands still, and so do I.

🎶 'She looks like Eve Marie Saint in on the waterfront
She says all she needs is therapy, yeah
All you need is, love is all you need'

She starred with Lillian Gish in original production of The Trip to Bountiful (1953) and made her film debut in Elia Kazan's On the Waterfront (1954) winning an Oscar. Her most memorable role though, the cool, seductive spy and #Hitchcock blonde in 1959 North by Northwest. #EveMarieSaint (1924-2026)

Vaya con dios dear Lady.
