🏙️ And this transition happens where people live. Together with the Global Covenant of Mayors, we are taking #ElectrifyNow to cities, helping turn global ambition into change people can see and feel in their daily lives.

🇪🇺That is why Europe is calling on more countries to join the #ElectrifyNow coalition and accelerate the shift to clean electricity.

🏙️ And this transition happens where people live. Together with the Global Covenant of Mayors, we are taking #ElectrifyNow to cities, helping turn global ambition into change people can see and feel in their daily lives.

They are about our security, our independence and our competitiveness, and about building a cleaner, safer and more affordable future for people.

🇪🇺That is why Europe is calling on more countries to join the #ElectrifyNow coalition and accelerate the shift to clean electricity.

The EU cut Russian gas imports from 150+ bcm (2021) to 36 bcm in 2025, while clean power investment hit €338bn, 18% of the global total. Now Brussels wants that shift to go global: "Electrify Now" targets 35% clean electricity worldwide by 2035, up from 20%.
