Making assets for #Eldertide is overwhelming sometimes. 😅 There’s just SO much to make, even for a small playtest. It’s fun, but man, it’s a lot!

Skilled magicians can now cast powerful scrolls that summon burning fire or poisonous fields! 🔥
Stay on your toes. You definitely don’t want to get caught standing in one..
Driving home from work and Imagine Dragons comes on… and suddenly I’m thinking..
Imagine dragons in #Eldertide. 🐉
Made some great progress on #Eldertide this weekend! 🥳
Magic is in! Core mechanics are working.
Also made various new assets, but somehow got sidetracked building an outfit recolouring system. 😂 Players can now customise their characters!
Priorities. 🤭
One thing from #Tibia that kept me exploring was all the little flavour elements scattered everywhere.
Unreachable rooms with treasure. Unsolved puzzles. Hidden secrets…
That’s exactly where I’m taking #Eldertide. No handholding. Players figure it out ⚔️
Whenever I work on content for #Eldertide, I keep coming up with new ideas that would be so much fun to add. 😅
But at this stage I should probably focus on getting a small basic build out for playtesting.. All those other ideas can be added later! 🤭
Past few weeks have been hectic with #Eldertide, focusing alot on content. Just finished implementing mining & smithing!
It’s rough and needs more work, but it’s in! 🥳
My first screenie too, don’t judge the looks, I’m not an artist. 🥲
I’ve been hard at work on #Eldertide, and yesterday I finished the foundation for quests!
Players can now help NPCs with tasks and get rewarded for their work.
A neat way to nudge players in certain directions and help ease new players into the game. 😄
If anyone against all odds wants to follow #Eldertide development closer, I’ve made a very bare Discord server.
I post random screenshots and dev logs. If I ever open a playtest, it’ll be announced there first!
DM me for an invite
Inspired by early #Tibia and #RuneScape
I’m building #Eldertide as a game I’d want to play myself, inspired by the MMORPGs I grew up with.
Mobile makes it easy to pick up whenever you have time to kill. No forced P2W or cashgrab mechanics. If I ever add paid stuff, it’ll be optional and never affect gameplay. ❤️

Made a ton of progress on #Eldertide this weekend!
Mostly pixelart, groundtiles and environmental assets to make the world prettier. With all the new items I kept making, inventory became way too small.
So, I had to implement personal bank chests too! 🗃
As I keep adding content, I needed light for the night cycle.
That led to mana management, mana regen, food, and finally how to get food…
So Eldertide now has its first very basic tradeskill: fishing! 🐟
Woke up at 5am and couldn’t sleep. So I grabbed a cup of coffee, plugged in my earphones and coded for two hours before work.
Implemented chat-bubbles in Eldertide! 🥳
Nothing beats some early morning coding. Happy Friday y’all!
Eldertide actually started as a Discord MMO experiment a few years ago.
I got multiple players, combat, tradeskills and a bunch of mechanics working. Never finished it, but… it worked. 😄
