Would be nice if there were a dropped kerb here so you can easily join the cycle path at the earliest opportunity when coming up from Stenhouse. #EdTravCyc

Road is still closed but The Innocent Path is not restricted. The crossing itself is out of action, but with the road closed there's no need for it and you can cross a few metres east. #EdTravCyc

#EdTravCyc Reported to the council by phone to the out-of-hours number and all the loose bits of kerb are now tucked on the inside edge of the footway beside a lamp-post, as out of the way as they can be without throwing them over the railings.

start of survey...

Forth Replacement Crossing Evaluation - Community Survey
Required
Impacts on walking, wheeling and cycling
In this section, we would like to understand how the FRC project has affected walking, wheeling and cycling, including people's experiences, perceptions and travel behaviour. By wheeling, we mean the use of a wheelchair or mobility scooter.

Please compare current conditions with those before the Queensferry Crossing was completed, when walking, wheeling and cycling across the Forth took place on the Forth Road Bridge. In your responses, please consider any barriers to walking, wheeling and cycling that existed before the project was completed.Forth Replacement Crossing Evaluation - Community Survey
Aim of the survey
Welcome to the Forth Replacement Crossing (FRC) Community Survey. Transport Scotland have commissioned Jacobs to carry out an evaluation of the FRC. Further information about the FRC project is provided below. The responses from this survey will help us to identify and understand the impact on, and the perspective of, the local community. Feedback from the community was a key part of the preparation of the project, and this is an opportunity for the community to provide their views now the project has completed. The findings from this survey will be included in the evaluation report which will be published by Transport Scotland. The evaluation will help Transport Scotland learn lessons to inform future transport investment.

The survey should take up to 20 minutes to complete, depending on how many sections you wish to complete. It aims to gather feedback on if and how the FRC has impacted on the local community.

Completion of the survey is voluntary and you do not have to answer any questions you do not want to. The survey uses question routing which means you won’t be asked every question in the survey. There are some mandatory questions for routing purposes. You can withdraw from the survey up to the point that you submit your response. You cannot save your response and return to it at a later date. Please only complete this survey once.

This survey will close on Wednesday 30 September 2026.Forth Bridges logo

Pedestrian crossing over the West Approach Rd at Telfer subway is out

People taking their life in their hands dodging 40mph traffic

Let’s hope any unaccompanied kids traveling that way figure out to use the subway instead 😬

Diversion route for Roseburn to Union Canal path closure allows entry and exit at Dalry Rd, diverting along Murieston Cres. Although booked in for the full week, it's hoped resurfacing snagging works will only take 2 days, potentially reopening mid-week. #EdTravCyc @spokes.org.uk @edi.bike

Roseburn to (almost) Union Canal Link closed from tomorrow, Monday 21st until Tuesday 29th for footway resurfacing.

Potentially only being resurfaced on the bridge over Dalry Rd, hard to tell from the wording — but Dalry Community Pk through Russell Rd blocked either way.
