Best-of-five series sends new ITA skips to Euros

That’s a wrap on #ECC2026! IRTIS had a strong and diverse presence:
🔹Organized a special panel "The Impact of Technologies on Well-Being"
🔹Presented research in 4 other panels
🔹Joined poster session & mentoring program
Thanks to organisers @medjourmuni.bsky.social! More details: muni.cz/go/3f3edf
A week after #ECC2026, here we are to thank all the members of our division who took part in the conference, presenting their work and taking part in such constructive discussions. The DMM division is a supportive and stimulating community and this is thanks to all its members! 🙏🎉
Such a cool project and
needed activism,
cheers to @jonworth.eu 💪
I hope the Passenger Package will eventually bring some ease to these longer train trips.
No problem returning from #ecc2026 last week though, just with different tickets and enough time.
On the final morning of #ECC2026, #WHAT-IF team hosted a session on LLMs and ABMs in digital communication research. Organized by @aytalina.bsky.social and chaired by @vanatteveldt.com, the session highlighted some perspectives on the current state of the social simulation field development.
As Rimmer would have said, I had to attend the Brno ECREA hopping. 😅 But happy to present our experiment on uncertainty–identity dynamics in audiences of ethnicity-based cyberhate. Big thanks to the organisers from our department for putting so much effort into the conference! #ecc2026 #ecrea2026
#ECC2026 I keep thinking about one small detail: delegates were invited to bring their own water bottle and lanyard. I did.
🤏 Small thing? Yes
🌱 Meaningless? Not at all
“Shifting Grounds” is also about how small choices become collective change #ECREA2026

This is _such_ a strange set of stats. #ECREA2026 / #ECC2026.
All great things come to an end. Thank you all, keynotes, speakers, researchers, student volunteers and conference staff, for bringing life to research. Hosting #ECC2026 in Brno was an honor. The local organising team and volunteers bid you farewell. See you at the next!

And with that, just one more session before the #ECREA2026 / #ECC2026 conference closing; of course it’s got to be our roundtable on experiences so far with the interesting but difficult Meta Content Library. We’re building an independent community of practice around the MCL – join us in FSS|P51 !
Some methodologically interested and innovative papers on analysing political speech in this session at #ECREA2026 / #ECC2026. Liveblog here:
Only getting around to posting a few more #ECREA2026 / #ECC2026 liveblog posts now – these include our fabulous panel on the Australian and global move towards social media bans for young people (and their epic fails), and a great panel on platform regulation:
Looking forward to presenting this new research today at #ecc2026. Come along at 11:15 in room FA | B2.43.
Starting the last day of #ecc2026 with a great panel on children's social media bans, focus on Australia. Quoting the chair @snurb.info : in brief, it doesn't work. Also problematic from the perspective of children's rights. + Other factors explain mental health issues better than social media use.
Day 4 of #ECC2026 #ECREA2026
We started with a sticker: Where the heck is Brno?
After four days, hundreds of presentations, countless coffees, and a few wrong turns through the city... I am fairly confident the question has been answered.

Another day at #ecc2026 #eacrea2026. Today, we have special panel with two (2) scheduled presentations. You can preview Sabine Reich and my presentation here: userpage.fu-berlin.de/bachlm83/ecr...
As someone who isn't a runner, I'm happy to be able to say that indeed, I also ran with a chair! 🤪 #ECC2026
Ending the day on a high note – after insightful presentations, meeting old and new research partners and leading inspiring discussions, even more fun awaits. #ECC2026 Conference party is here! ⭐
