Clear sky over #Manchester this morning - a minor miracle - so it was COLD and there was a rather nice view of the Moon and Jupiter! Even a bit of #Earthshine going on... not a patch on @davidbflower.bsky.social's outstanding #astrophotography but I was pleased with the result!

The slender crescent Moon brightly lit in a black sky, surrounding the lower half of the night side of the Moon from below. The whole Earth facing side of the Moon is visible, the night portion lit by sunlight reflected off the Earth. To the right of the Moon, near the edge of the frame is a faint star, 58 Leonis, shining at mag 4.81. Another, even fainter star, HD 95899 of magnitude of 7.22, sits under the crescent.
