There is only the blue door before me.
The essence and purity of water.
I sense its profound spiritual nature.
It wills me to open the fastener.

The porch holds autumn
like a thought that keeps its glow,
dust sweet as apples, rain on iron,
clocks breathing slow.

🍂

Early evening scene in a transformational City at a narrow greenway park that runs between the borough's busy local expressway and a body of water referred to as a river; the perspective of the scene is facing north down the length of the partially paved public park with a grassy strip down the center where a beautiful deciduous tree has already begun to shed its leaves; all the leaves are brown and the sky is gray; a distant sunset to the west casts an orange glow on a brick apartment co-op building in the background; cars speed past on the expressway -- although it is long past rush hour; it never stops.

The splendor of the woods
All touched with autumn’s
tenderest glow.

Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;
Lengthen night and shorten day;
Every leaf speaks bliss to me
Fluttering from the autumn tree.
