Others put solar panels on the roof and wait for the bill. The robotic telescope on my roof waits for 1,300-year-old light from M27, the Dumbbell Nebula, the glowing last breath of a Sun-like star. Raw live view tonight, final photo next.

The Dumbbell Nebula. I often skip over this one when looking for a target, but it is very bright and shows up clearly almost immediately even with a 10 second exposure. DWARF3 is still a work in progress, processing information is in alt text.

40 minute total exposure with the DWARF3. Only processing is denoise and crop in Stellar Studio. Circular mass surrounded by stars. The mass is a blue-grey color with an oval shape, with a shape in the middle similar to an apple core that is a light red on the top and bottom. Three and a half hours total exposure with the Vespera 1. Processed and edited in PixInsight. Circular mass surrounded by stars. The mass is a vivid teal blue color with an oval shape, with a shape in the middle similar to an apple core that is a light red on the top and bottom.
