In what's becoming something of a common theme, too much football in 1976. Specifically, two of the League Cup quarter finals are going to replays after two legs. #DrFeelgood have an opinion about that, and some other stuff going on this week:

By the mid-’70s, English pub rockers Dr. Feelgood gave pub rock a bit of a dangerous edge… choppy guitar, snarling vocals and a stripped-down attack that sounded almost violent next to the era’s more polished rock. #DrFeelgood #PubRock #OneHitWondered #MusicSky

50 years ago, punk hadn’t yet reached the Midlands.

But the Feelgoods had. On this day in 1976, the young rebel souls were crushed together at the front of Birmingham Odeon bouncing to the mighty Dr Feelgood.

When you talk to me...

50 years ago, I was spending all of my spare change at Virgin Records in Birmingham.

Not only Dr Feelgood, but also Eddie and the Hot Rods.

The only way is Canvey.
