The old hooker in the bar (Chanin Hale) was actually at the start of her acting career. She was 33 before she even moved to LA.

Malloy verses the gung-ho cop. This sort of story has been done over the decades but this was a pretty good version. Again I thought they'd either kill the gung-ho cop or his partner so they didn't overegg it.

Malloy goes to evening classes but gets tarred with being a cop. I think we've seen the college youth a few times between Dragnet 1967 and this series.

I wasn't impressed with the signatures. A blind man could tell they were the same handwriting and pen. So the prop should've been way better. With the handwriting so similar the idea that it was one person would've been evident way before they came up with the theory.

I liked this a lot as it went deep into how the Social Security computer hardware works. I half expected Joe to call in Captain Kirk to talk the computer to death. And it was a modern day Bunco too. Bunco's after Homicides are my fave Dragnets.

Quite a good ep until the jumper scene. Then it became a pale impression of a famous "Dragnet" TV and Radio ep mainly as I didn't buy how this 1960s version played out. A boy in blue wouldn't get involved so surely?

I'm still unsure if the TV Dragnet uses middle class kids/parents as 1960s USA simply won't recognise working class talent. Or if it's a warning that crime is everywhere?

Gannon is sick so Joe is stuck with a Vice cop who is getting too far into the vices.
This is a great episode. It's genuinely uncomfortable watching Joe and the bent cop together.
A reminder how far 60's Dragnet has developed as TV.
