Page 21 Carl is back in his apartment his thought bubble reads: 1. Email doctors note to H.R. 2. Call out. 3. Rest. I can't go to work, I'm sick. I can't work out, I'm sick. I am not doing anything wrong by resting, I have to rest I have no choice. I am allowed to watch videos. I am allowed to listen to music. I don't have to make myself miserable. I am not pretending to be in a coma. I am alone in my apartment. He then falls back into bed in a panel shaped like the word bed. The three young guys watch a pigeon fly away. At home Carl continues spitting blood and splashing his face with tap water he thinks "fuck, fuck, oh God, fuck, fuck, fuck." Earlier at work Carl: Nah it let out around eleven. Guy: I bet that wasn't those kids whole night. Woo, I can't do that no more. Gabriel and Eli are in the car mid conversation Gabriel: look you ain't gotta stick your dick in everything you eat...damn, can't trust you around a rotisserie chicken Eli: but you don't eat bulls, you don't eat roosters Gabriel: Yeah you do that's why there's only one bull. All three steak and hamburgers that you ever ate was steer meat. Eli: what? Whatever, you already ate anyway. Gabriel: Just a little bit, I'm gonna sell the rest.Page twenty Doctor to Carl: yeah...they call gemauranfed "saferoids" but it's only "safe" as in not anabolic and not illegal yet.
