On being Opaque (or: transparency)

An introduction to Opaque, Puzzle, and generally what I'm drawing comics about.

First comic panel. Drawing of Opaque, a mint green simple shape rabbit character with the texture of a jar. One ear is replaced with a corked spigot, and there's a jar lid on the top of the head. "This little character is Opaque. You could call it a rabbit jar; you could also call it a vessel. It's kind of meant to represent my (green) individual experience with our collective reality as someone with DID."Second panel. Opaque, close to the camera, leans its head forward to show the uncorked spigot and empty hole where the lid usually rests. Small dark hands lift up out of these holes to wave. "I don't really want to talk about or represent specific alters. I don't think you need to know them to understand how their existence affects me (green) as an individual."Drawing meant to mimick the first panel, but Puzzle stands where Opaque was. Puzzle is a yellow semi-translucent 3D puzzle of a lynx, again in simple shapes. "Puzzle is another collective sona, meant to represent how I lived pre-2019. (It's a lynx, meant to look like one of those 3D crystal puzzles) My system structure, switch schedules, lifestyle, and living conditions were all different then, to the point that it feels like an entirely different life. I'm still coming to terms with the disconnect."Last comic panel. "The same alters that made up Puzzle also make up me. So why do we feel so different? Why are we not the person we spent over 2 decades learning to understand, and who does that make this 'us' instead? That's a lot of what I'm processing here. Also maybe some other stuff. idk." At the bottom, there's a small doodle of Opaque giving a thumbs up.
