Text: starting my 1st real office job today & I thought about how my dad said I was too young to watch “the office” that I wouldn’t understand the comedy till I’d worked in one, like he did here, they have office banter. Coffee service 10:30-11:15 my boss is stressed out & someone bakes a treat every week following the themes of bake-off they stuck you in the mailroom your 1st day. they stuck me in the storage closet, sorting files. I haven’t talked to you in years, nor wanted to (not really) but this made me yearn to share with you because we finally have this commonality even though you told me “there is nothing worthwhile you could ever share with me”
