@asteriondeltoro.bsky.socialRolled credits on Destiny Spire! Alas, I fell short of 100% completion, but still a satisfying play. It got a little tiring near the end, as the dungeons are large and twisty, but as combat was never truly hard, The game wasn't either. Review up tomorrow.

@asteriondeltoro.bsky.socialAfter jumping through some more hoops, this loony shows up for a rematch. He takes a lot of damage, but can't deal out much, even with his sidekick, so in the end he runs off. I finally have The Ship, opening up most of the game world (presumably).
@asteriondeltoro.bsky.socialThis twisty mass of narrow corridors is just one level of the hell dungeon. Sheesh. Fortunately, neither the enemies nor the boss at the end is very tough.
@asteriondeltoro.bsky.socialBefore going to hell, I indulge in the greatest of RPG pleasures- taking revenge against the guy who beat you up at the start of the game. 30 levels later, Otto goes down like a scrub, but his boss remains at large.
@asteriondeltoro.bsky.socialFlip some switches, walk on water, get told to go to hell. All in a day's work for a roving adventurer.
(In a twist, though, "go to hell and kill a god" is not the final boss, but part of a quest chain to get The Ship.)

@asteriondeltoro.bsky.socialRestarted Destiny Spire, for two reasons: one, I wasn't happy with my current party- the Wizard is too squishy for my speed-and-strength strategy. Two, it's become apparent that this is an Ultima-inspired game where it helps to take notes on everything.

@asteriondeltoro.bsky.socialWith the bridge repaired, I make it to the peace conference, only for an usurper to crash the party. We fight him, but it's a scripted loss, and we wind up having to escape the dungeon via a secret passage. I'm thinking this is where the plot proper starts.
@asteriondeltoro.bsky.socialFound the prison tower to the north, with harder enemies- though still not too hard- and an annoying switches-and-doors puzzle that encompasses the whole tower. Solving gets me access to the High Security Area, where the bridge-building is imprisoned.
