We early-voted today in the Vancouver municipal election. Easy, no line. I voted for candidates who champion better walking, biking & public transit; better people-places and smart street transformations; more housing and #DensityDoneWell with amenities & smart design; and budgets that create value.

There are so many important elements of successful city-building that we need to get much better at, especially as we increase urban densities. One element we continue to underestimate is the need to create beloved new people-places that support more joyful and successful cities. #DensityDoneWell

As cities seek to build the housing and urban density we badly need to address many of our biggest crises, we should never buy into the false choice of urban density OR urban green spaces and people-places. Never forget, the latter are critical for doing urban density successfully. #DensityDoneWell
