Central text:
Find your bravery and venture deeper into the waters. Do you dare go up to your hips, your chest, your shoulders? Would you put your head below the surface and reach out to see what Lake Calenhad offers first? Mind the stones, search the sand and earth. There, near the piling, you find a ring, golden and still bearing jewels worthy of any Orlesian engagement. Thrown in fury or in grief, it waits for someone else to find it and try again. It dodges the light filtering from above, gems dull and colorless. You could lift it higher, above the surface, even…

But you know better. This ring is not yours. That which belongs to the lake should not be taken from it, tempting as it may be. Leave what you find, even the interesting things, and especially the familiar ones. It would not do well to incur the debt that was paid by taking the payment. There is so much more yet to be seen.
