@blueskiesecho.bsky.socialDavid Sylvian – Secrets of the Beehive (1987)
A masterpiece of quiet intensity. Secrets of the Beehive finds David Sylvian stripping everything back. Ryuichi Sakamoto providing orchestral arrangements and piano.
@thequietus.com'With jazz a key source for post rock, it’s salient that ‘Before The Bullfight’ should be inspired by Miles Davis’s 1960 Sketches Of Spain – The bullfight here is figurative as well as literal, fanciful as well as visceral.'
