#GenderRevolution: A Journey with #KatieCouric was January 2017 by #NationalGeographic who did at least two covers for their major magazine release that tied it all in together. Erroneous #DavidReimer inclusion; regrettable as that was very uniquely abuse!
@nevereverdave.bsky.social![Two alternate covers for the overarching reading in National Geographical Magazine 2017 for anyone who wanted to know more from Katie Couric's extensive documentary.
One image has a pretty trans woman reclining, seated on a chaise lounge dressed in pink with her hair in the familiar graded pinks streaks.
The more common cover in newsagents at the time [well UK anyways] has a varied ages and ethnicities group of transgender persons all of whom share the state of living as themselves and not as clinicians assigned them at birth.
Needless to say they are indistinguishable from the reader.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_fullsize/plain/did:plc:f3jfofsqidk7uegozoa4hvsx/bafkreigfbeforj43m7nb2aaugdmqgbb43mrxvhraz3c4xf3fumyb6mqswa@jpeg)
