Awards-winning director #DaveBoyle dive into #JHorror. It's the second #Horror of the year that gave me the creeps, after #Hokum. #Filmsky #Japanese
#NeverAfterDark ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

#DaveBoyle talks mystery, the weight of familiarity, and the serendipity of practical effects in his refreshingly original, often wry, and deeply creepy film, #NeverAfterDark. @ofcs.bsky.social @magnetreleasing.bsky.social

Writer/director #DaveBoyle raises plenty of gooseflesh with practical effects using mirrors, body doubles and lighting techniques combined with ancient folklore, creepy make-up, exaggerated sound and inventive props. #NeverAfterDark #MoekaHoshi

very much enjoyed smart, spooky, rollicking #horror flick from director #DaveBoyle starring the fantastic Moeka Hoshi ( #SHOGUN ) - also what a score - Jonathan Sipes who did the music for STARRY EYES - this would make a PERFECT double-feature with #HOKUM
go see it! #movies #filmsky
