By 1969, Darrell Banks had moved to Stax’s Volt label... Singles like “Just Because Your Love Is Gone” & “Beautiful Feeling” failed to chart, but showed that his voice had lost none of its intensity. #DarrellBanks #OneHitWondered #MusicSky

Darrell Banks followed up with “Somebody (Somewhere) Needs You,” which reached #34 on the R&B chart, but topped out at #55 on the US #Billboard #Hot100. #DarrellBanks #OneHitWondered #MusicSky

In 1966, Darrell Banks broke out with "Open the Door to Your Heart.” Released on Detroit’s Revilot label, the stomping single rocketed up the charts, hitting #2 on the R&B chart and #27 on the US #Billboard #Top40. Sadly, it would be his only US hit single. #DarrellBanks #OneHitWondered #MusicSky
