Meet Leopardus tilcayo, the tilcayo tiger #cat.
#Bolivia' beauty.
It's the first new living cat species to be formally named and described in more than a century — the last was the Uruguayan pampas cat in 1923. The paper just came out today in #CurrentBiology (DOI: 10.1016/j.cub.2026.08.059).
